Admission

Spokane Valley Adventist School welcomes children of all faiths. Because of the high ideals and objectives of Adventist Christian education, applicants are screened for good character and a record of cooperation and good behavior.

Part of the screening process includes an interview at registration. In addition to an interview, new students may be asked to supply a letter of recommendation from the pastor of his or her home church. If approved by the admissions committee, students are under behavioral and scholastic probation until the end of the first quarter to determine whether their enrolment will be continued.

Parents must desire a Christian education for their children, not just a desire to get them out of negative situation. The student shall be willing to attend Spokane Valley Adventist School and come in good standing academically and behaviorally.

Entry Age
It is the policy of the school to accept pupils in the first grade when they have reached their sixth birthday by August 31. However, because of the basic Seventh-day Adventist philosophy of education and in view of specialized studies on the subject, it is recommended that parents do not register their children for the first grade until they are seven years old. Students are accepted into the kindergarten program if their fifth birthday occurs by August 31.
